World Bank supported Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project (TNHSP) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for consultant with regard to

1. Quality of Care

(Package A : HCWM 6, QOC 6 and QOC 7)

a. Impact evaluation of the HCWM implementation in all Project Hospitals

b. End line assessment of quality of care in the Project Hospitals.

c. End line assessment of survey on Patient Satisfaction and Hospital Utilization.

2. PPP Evaluation

(Package B: TDP 2, PPP 2a and PPP2 b)

a. Impact / End term evaluation of Tribal Health Development Initiatives.

b. Impact / End term evaluation of Mortuary Van Services.

c. End term / Impact evalaution of Patient Counselling Services

3. CEmONC activities

(Package C: QOC 9)

Impact evaluation of CEmONC services in all 98 CEmONC centers in the state.

4. Civil Works and Equipments

(Package D: CWE 2)

External evaluation of Phase 2 Civil Works and utilization of equipments

The Consultant will be selected by “Consultant Qualification Method (CQS)” in accordance with the procedures set out in the “World Bank Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004 Revised 1^st October 2006 Edition).

Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (Brouchers, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, financial status of the firm, ect.,) Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

The firm may submit the Expression of Interest for either one of the above packages or for all the packages, clearly indicating their options separately in a sealed and clearly marked cover titled as “Expressions of Interest ( EOI ) for the Packages Quality of Care(Package A : HCWM 6, QOC 6 and QOC 7) / PPP Evaluation (Package B: TDP 2, PPP 2a and PPP2 b) / CEmONC activities(Package C: QOC 9) / Civil Works and Equipments (Package D: CWE 2) on or before 23.11.09 (5.00 PM) to the address given below. Expression of Interest's sent in sealed envelopes alone will be considered.

The Consultant will be selected by “Consultant Qualification Method (CQS)” in accordance with the procedures set out in the “World Bank guidelines: Selection and Employment of consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004 Revised 1st October 2006 Edition)”

Appointment to the post of Bio Medical Engineer

Applications are invited from the interested eligible candidates for appointment to the post of Bio Medical Engineer in World Bank supported Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project, Chennai.

Basic Qualification

• Bachelor of Engineer (Electronics) / Electrical . Instrumentation / Mechanical./ BE Bio Medical Engineering.

Additional Qualification

• Diploma in Bio Medical Engineering / Candidates who have done B.E., or a degree course with Bio Medical Engineering as one of the subjects shall also be considered.

• Two years experience as Bio Medical Engineer in a Hospital or Firm or Candidates who have undergone special training in equipment maintenance from reputed institutions shall be preferred.

• Salary : Consolidated Payment of Rs.15,000/- p.m.

The above appointment is only on contract basis for an initial period of 2 years, which shall be extended upto 5 years or till the implementation of the Project. The candidate will be posted in Chennai / Madurai / Coimbatore / Trichy or anywhere as desired by Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project.

Category 1- BMWM - Agency for Bio Medical Waste Management – Collection from the storage point in the hospital, transportation and final disposal of Bio Medical Waste in all Government Hospitals, in each district, in the state to the serviced Common Treatment Facility.

Category 2- BMWM - Agency for Bio Medical Waste Management-end disposal of Bio- Medical Waste at CTF plant as per TNPCB norms, when the bio medical waste from the Government hospitals in a particular district, handed over at the doorstep of the CTF.

The Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation, now invites eligible agencies to indicate their interest in providing the services of implementing the bio-medical waste management in all the Government hospitals in 30 districts in Tamil Nadu. Interested agencies must provide information indicating that they are qualified (Authorized by TNPCB) to perform the services (Brochures, Description of similar assignments, experiences in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc).

An agency will be selected individually for a district only in accordance with the procedures set out in the “World Bank’s guidelines: Selection and employment of agencies by World Bank Borrowers October 2006 edition”.
